My First Swap!

My first vintage sheet fat quarter swap!! YAY!!! I joined my first swap, and I have to say, I had so much fun! The work to get 80, YES 80 fat quarters ready was crazy, but soo exciting!!! Here's what I sent in...
Sorry about the crappy photography!!
 And here's what I got...
Much nicer photograph hehe!
And this is what my FQs look like now!
YAY!! Now to just make more FQs' out of my VS collection :)
SO, yes it was fun, the anticipation and excitement of it all!! LOL! Good times indeed! Now a little Pyrex Love, I got these in a trade too!...
Vintage Pyrex White Daisy (or more commonly Pink Daisy)
Can you believe it?? Now my entire Pink Daisy collection is complete, thanks to my Pyrex friend Elma!! Thanks Again Girl! I'm beside myself with happiness! I sent her this piece...
Vintage JAJ Pyrex "Hot Pink" Snowflake
I know what some of you are thinking -why trade such a beautiful and rare piece for Pink Daisy??? That's easy, I LOVED my Pink Daisy a WHOLE lot more than this piece, AND I know I could never really complete a set of that kind. Complete collections are a weird fixation with me, lol! Not to mention, as gorgeous as it is, it really just wasn't me! Elma on the other hand LOVES it, and what a better way to trade, than to trade with someone who's going to love it more than I :D  SO off it goes to her new Loving family, and I have my Lovely completed collection of Pink Daisies!! Pyrex Dreams & Love!!!

Vintage Sheets Up!!

Finally!! I listed a few VS FQs' in my shop, YAY!!! Sorry!! I'm such a procrastinator! I'm so bad at blogging & listing new items in my shop. WAY better at managing my shop though. NEwho!! My VS collection is starting to outgrow my tiny sewing room! You'd be lucky to see my head pop out from underneath all these beauties lol! OK a bit of an exaggeration, but I am swimming in VSs' now. I can't seem to stop buying them. Especially with such a great selection! Here are a couple of examples...

I rip them into 19"x23" FQs' and store them like this....
NOT the best photography I know, but I have such a small window to deal with this right now. My 1 yr old, HuniBee, and household chore list is ridiculous these days!! SO! Stop in and check it out, I'd deeply appreciate it!!

Precious Pyrex

It occurred to me the other day, I have been so obsessed with my vintage sheet collection, I neglected to talk about my other crazy addiction -PYREX! Oh I do have quite a collection, but ever since VSs', my Pyrex and Corning ware have taken a backseat :( SO, I thought I'd Post up some photos of some of my pieces today!! My little tribute to my first obsession ...PYREX! Enjoy :D

My second fave VINTAGE PYREX IN SOLID TURQUOISE (my third top favorite is solid pink, but that will be on my next post ;D)

Blog Buttons!

What did I do today??? This ---------------->>>>
I Learned how to make & add Blogger Buttons like this...

(These don't go anywhere though sorry :D)

 ...And this...

(Neither does this one lol)

As you can tell I have alot to learn (like adding links), but it's fun as I go. So it took me awhile to figure it out, but I finally got a system down. I ended up using Photobucket to create my button images, which in turn also hosts them for you! YAY!! Easy peesy! So here's what I did:

1.Open a photobucket account.
2. Hit the Upload now, then hit the Select Photo's and Videos Button ...which opens the computer picture window.
3.Chose a photo... (elevator music 'The Girl from Ipanema' comes to mind as I wait for it to upload) & I clicked the photo once it loaded (which is probably not the proper way, but it worked for me) Once it showed it, moved the mouse over the photo, and a menu list shows up.
4.Click the Edit button (more elevator music)
5. Crop if needed, and hit Crop Selected Area, NOT Save or Replace!
6. Resize (I used a max size of 180 in the second box), and hit Apply. Once again NOT Save or Replace!
Next if you wish to add something else like borders, text etc, click the Decorate Button and then click Apply :) When your done NOW you can click Save A Copy or Replace Original (again more elevator music lol)
7. Next you see your links on the right side of your screen! YAY ALMOST DONE!
8. NOW, in a new tab or window, sign in to your blog, and click on the Design tab. You'll see an area that says "Add a Gadget" and click. A window will open, scroll till you see the option for HTML/JavaScript & click.
9. Click back to your photobucket window and click on the HTML code link, click back to your blogger window, right click inside the content window and paste your code. In the first set of  " ", highlight and delete. Being extra careful NOT to delete any extra characters, then you enter your website link, be it for facebook, flickr, etsy, twitter etc.
It should look like this...

<a href="your website link" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n000/vivid felicity/image.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

10. Click on Save and your done! All that's left to do is arrange your gadgets, sit back and admire your work!
Good Luck!! Contact me if you should have any questions :)

Thriftng Again ;D

As always, I'm constantly looking for new vintage sheets! It's my obsession lol. I have since found even more wonderful sheets, but I had to make an emergency trip to see my Grandmother :(. So I'm behind on everything! From photographing to posting to listing, and hoping to catch up here real soon.

So - these are some of my new finds! SO vibrant, you have to love these colors and patterns.  See..
Are they pretty?? Then I had to add another shelf just for my VSs' I have yet to cut up into FQs'...
And now I use this shelf for all my VS's I have used, scraps, hems thin and wide, plus extra fabrics etc..

All in all good things! I have so  much left to do, so I better skedaddle! Have a great day!!!
OH! I have also managed to finish piecing the back of Samy's quilt YAY!! Promise I'll post photos asap!
